Baby  Massage

I am a Certified Infant Massage Instructor (CIMI) with the International Association of Infant Massage (IAIM), a global organisation providing the world-class standard for the training and teaching of baby massage, delivering the most comprehensive courses currently available in the UK.

Since completing my training in 2004, I taught regular courses as part of my employment in the NHS and Childrens Centres, before starting my own business in 2016, giving me 20 years experience in teaching parents the value of nurturing, loving touch.

Baby Massage can help:

  • Relax parent and baby

  • Encourage a deeper sleep

  • Strengthen baby's immune system

  • Relieve wind, colic and constipation

  • Strengthen baby-parent communication

  • Enhance your understanding of baby's development

Having massaged my own babies (now 12 and 18) from birth, I have experienced first hand the benefits that Baby Massage can provide to both parent and baby, including reducing post-natal depression and improving the mother - baby relationship, as I struggled to bond with my first born.

My passion for emotional health has grown over the years and I decided to take the leap into teaching privately through my own business.

IAIM courses are suitable from birth to 12 months and cover

  • Massage strokes for legs, feet, stomach, chest, arms, hands, face and back

  • A short colic routine

  • Gentle movements and touch relaxation

  • The best time and for how long to massage

  • What massage oils to use

  • How to adapt the strokes for your baby's individual needs and the growing child
